Lucianne Scheid specializes in experiential travel. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but has also lived in Montreal and New York before moving to Asheville, North Carolina. She is a former jazz singer, known as “Lucianne,” and attended Carnegie Mellon University and Point Park College where she studied musical theatre. Her album “Flamingo” won her the Blue Chip Award in 2002, by Jazz Education Journal. In 2007, she discovered a need for a travel agent who could incorporate the travelers’ love for music into their vacation packages. She attended Blue Ridge Community College and studied World Destinations, Travel and Tourism, and Cruise Sales. In 2009, she opened her own travel agency called Jazz Music Travel, and in 2011 become a travel agent for Brevard Travel.
Lucianne has traveled extensively throughout Canada, Europe and Mexico, and has visited 18 of the Caribbean Islands, including St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Jamaica. As a jazz singer, Lucianne also travelled to almost every major city in the United States. She has sailed on several cruise ships including Star Clippers’ ship Royal Clipper; Carnival’s Destiny; and Celebrity’s Summit. She has stayed at numerous ski resorts in the United States, as well as Mauna Kea Resorts, Greenbrier Resorts, The Plaza, The Waldorf-Astoria, The Palace Resort, and the Real Resorts. She also has attended some popular international music events like the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Festival Wien, and the Summer with the Stars at Palace Resorts.
Lucianne combines her love for music with her love for travel to create vacations packages that are truly memorable. She plans vacations for her clients that go above and beyond the standard travel packages, and adds a unique twist to their trips that include music, culinary, adventure and pleasure features. She looks for unique opportunities for her clients to make their trip special, like planning interesting activities, such as walking through the peaceful Labyrinth of Chartres with a holistic guide, visiting a winery for a wine tasting, or attending an entertaining jazz festival. She knows that by adding the cultural and musical elements to her client’s vacation packages, their overall trip will be enhanced making it the ideal vacation.
